An idea was born: we need a firepit for the summer! Thoughts were put into action.
The layout was designed and our guys – Dave and John – gathered rocks from the property. And then we all went to work. With the help of our tractor, 4-wheeler, 3 human rock-carrying “machines” (John, Carol and Martina) as well as our supervising Dave (slightly handicapped due to injury), rocks were stacked to build the perfect circle.
Rocks, rocks and more rocks. Oh, and we need some boulders to sit on … oh, and we need the firewood. The chainsaw was quickly activated and chop, chop, chop, the firewood was ready.
Who knew that by the end of the night we would sit with our guests around the fire cooking s’mores!
And fun was had by all. The End.
We are so grateful to all our guests who took the time to write a review about their experience at Another World B&B. Because of you we earned the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence!!
We could not be any more thrilled!! Thank you!!
What a fun day! Yes, it was cold and snowy at times this past Saturday but it was a true winter celebration including a wine & beer walk, food tastings & pairings, chocolate, art, music, renewing of your vows, and much more. If you missed it this year, you should definitely make it a point to enjoy it next year. We will keep you posted of the date! In the meantime, here are some pictures. Happy Valentine’s Day!!

The world famous Grape Fest was last weekend. Now I know why people come from far. This is the biggest event in the entire region!
And the grape pies! Naples is famous for it and they have grape pie contests every year.
The weather was perfect and thousands of people were able to enjoy the different booths of the festival, all along both sides of Main Street – from one end of town to the other.
We were warned about the traffic – and, yes, it was bad but nothing compared to Atlanta, Georgia!
Lots of Arts & crafts (could have been more for my taste though)
Beautiful wood crafts
Great music! Here are two of the local favorites: Bobby Henrie and Aaron Lipp. They were lots of fun to listen to
and food, food and food. Holy moly, there were soooo many food vendors
The entire town was decorated in purple. There was literally purple everywhere, grape everything:
Even the potties were purple! 🙂
Overall, it was a perfect Grape Fest 2018 and was voted the Best Festival in the Finger Lakes!! Congratulations!!
Hope to see y’all next year!! Cheers! You know where to stay 🙂
That is the talk of the town! While Naples holds its annual Grape Fest since 1961, this is our first year experiencing it and we are very excited already! Just one more week, September 29-30 is the big Grape Fest weekend!
We heard that the whole town turns into festival grounds and this is what we learned so far: 2 days full of arts & crafts, music, food, wine and, of course, the famous grape pies. There is even a grape pie contest! It comes with awards, prizes and – probably even more important – bragging rights! Who will win this year?
The Memorial Town Hall is the epicenter of it all. You’ll find the wine walk (yum, wine tasting anybody?), music, arts & crafts right around it. Directly across is the High School. Here are more artists and crafters and food, food and food trucks.
We sure hope for nice weather so that we can all enjoy the festivities. Did I mention that we are excited?
Yay!! We did it! It has been a few weeks in the making and finally it’s here – our new website is up and running! A big Thank You to Jodie who worked hard over the summer to provide all the framework for this website.
Want to know what’s going on up here in Naples? Please follow this blog. We will share happenings at the B&B and the area around us with you. Hope you will enjoy it!
